How To Do Elsa Eye Makeup From Frozen

elsafrozen2

Yesterday, my family and I watched Frozen since we purchased the Sing-a-Long version. While it was only the second fourth dimension I was seeing the movie, I absolutely love Frozen every bit much as every little child in America does. It's just such an adorable story with a lot of not bad singing and archetype, fun humor in it. Of form, as a makeup creative person,  I was drawn to Elsa'south makeup in the pic. I kept thinking about what a pretty makeup tutorial and look this would brand, so here we are. I decided to replicate Queen Elsa and make it into a slightly more than adult, article of clothing version that y'all could really article of clothing outside of your firm. I also give tips inside on how to make this look even more "true to character" if you are going as Elsa in costume or having a Frozen party!

THE EYE MAKEUP: Elsa's eye makeup is quite noticeable in the movie. She has a bright purple shade over her eyelids and swept slightly on her lower lash-line. In her socket and pucker, she has a bright pinkish-burgundy shade. The crease shade is quite dramatic and divers. If y'all do this expect for a costume party or on your kid, yous may want to get with a shade that is more pink in the pucker. I went with a burgundy shade to brand information technology more than sophisticated and article of clothing. Elsa has eyeliner on both her lower lash-line and upper lash-line, and of course, her lashes are thick and luscious!

  1. Employ a mid-toned matte brown shade over your entire socket surface area, blending information technology upward toward your brow-bone. This is going to be our transition color and make the socket shades blend easily. I used Makeup Geek's "Cocoa Comport" which is the perfect shade for this because it'due south matte, but it as well has a slight scarlet undertone to it.
  2. Apply a matte burgundy shade (I used Makeup Geek'south "Bitten") straight into the crease of your eye only. Keep building the color up with a small-scale fluffy blending brush by swiping it back and forth. Focus burn this burgundy shade in the crease to get a overnice defined socket line like Elsa has. Blend, blend, blend.
  3. Employ a shimmery lilac purple eyeshadow over your unabridged eyelid and along your lower lash-line. I used one from my Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette.
  4. Become dorsum and repeat Stride #ii so that at that place are no harsh edges or lines in the socket expanse.
  5. Apply black eyeliner to your lower lash-line.
  6. Apply black eyeliner to your upper lash-line.
  7. Apply mascara and/or fake lashes.

Alternating TIPS FOR COSTUMES AND KIDS: Instead of applying a burgundy and a brown in the socket, utilize a brilliant, dark pinkish shade to stand out more than and make the look more than animated. Really focus on that purple eyelid shade by making it more intense with a wet eyeshadow brush. For kids, leave off the heavy liner.

THE LIPS: Queen Elsa is wearing glossy pink lips that are a medium tone. I used NARS Priscilla Lip Gloss for this. It is the perfect Elsa shade and complements the eye makeup well.

THE FACE MAKEUP: In typical Disney princess form, I kept my skin looking clean, fresh, and clear. I highlighted my cheekbones to give my skin a glow and made sure I used a doll-like pinkish chroma shade on the apples of my cheeks. You lot can go a trivial heavier on the chroma if you're going to a costume political party. Flushed pink cheeks are a Disney princess must!

Obviously, I don't accept Elsa's super light pilus colour, but if you lot were going to a costume political party or wanted to brand this more authentic, you could braid a long blonde wig to 1 side. Elsa has glittering snowflakes in her hair, so you could pull off pieces from Christmas/Winter decorations and stick them throughout the wig and braid to make the look more accurate.

I only wanted to testify you lot what Queen Elsa'south makeup would look like if it were on an everyday adult female and she was wearing it out! This is my interpretation of Elsa. Does anyone desire to encounter Princess Anna side by side?

Oh, and if you've never seen Disney's Frozen, buy the movie hither. It's such a fun, re-watchable motion-picture show for the entire family. Even my dad loves it!
